The best thing about designing homes? Improving people’s life
— Maison Metisse

I am a Spatial Designer & Director of Maison Metisse. I was born and raised in France, where I studied architecture. In 2013, I moved to Australia and graduated a couple of years later with a Master of Spatial Design from UTS. I started working as an architectural and interior designer in Sydney whilst studying. Over the course of five years, I worked on over 150 projects, from small renovations to restaurant fit-outs and multi-residential developments.

In 2020, I moved to the Gold Coast and continued working for award winning building design and interior design firms whilst creating my own studio: Maison Metisse.

Today, I share my time between the Gold Coast and the rest of the world, living in different countries for months at a time. I am constantly discovering other cultures, people and ways of living, which brings me so much inspiration and allows me to learn about what I am truly passionate about: People & their Homes.

MINIMALISM & SLOW LIVING

In a world that often feels like it's on overdrive, minimalism emerges as a calming oasis. It's not solely about owning fewer possessions; it's a mindful approach that directs our attention towards what truly matters. By thoughtfully decluttering our surroundings, we welcome in a sense of purpose and tranquility. We are making space to savour life's smaller moments and be present in the here and now.

Slow living is all about choosing quality over quantity, taking a step back from the relentless pace of modern life. In a society that celebrates hustle and bustle, and possessions often means success, slow living encourages us to embrace a more measured rhythm, taking the time to connect with our surrounding and with the people in it.

Together, minimalism and slow living empower us to shape spaces and lifestyles that align with our values, allowing us to seek meaning & purpose, away from the noise.
